CORPSE-RAT CONTINUES

Another good evening at the word mines, comrades. Another 586 words, the reason for our hero's predicament has been shown, and tomorrow, I shaft him further by setting him on his quest and lumbering him with his companion. Oh, the power! :)

Nanowrimo. I'm doing it, and you know you want to.

Nah, I don't need the pressure. 50K in 30 days is 1667 words a day, and there's no way I can guarantee I can hold to that, particularly in a month with 2 family birthdays (including mine) and preparations for another.

If I just chug along at 250+ a day, it'll get there in its own good time. And I've still got plenty to keep me occupied: the script, selling the 1st novel, the shorts....... sleeping...

Good on ya for getting in there and banging the flippers at the keyboard. You're doing 250+ words per day? I gather so does Cory Doctorow, so you're in good company (depending on whether or not you're impressed with his work, of course).

And now I finally know where those graphic word-count thingies come from! Excellent. Have snarfed the link, and will be deploying the doodad in near future. :)

Anyway, keep at it! The beginning is the second-hardest part (the actual hardest part being the middle).

Don't forget the end, which is the 3rd hardest part :)
