Hi Lee!
ReplyDeleteJust thought I'd write a quick comment because I'm always being asked if I'm related to you. Probably because I write fantasy, which I suppose people group with SF.
Saw your numerous nominations for the Aurealis awards this year - congrats (and to your wife too). I'm a newish children's writer. Currently doing an ASA mentorship with Kate Forsyth to develop a junior fantasy novel of mine. Am loving it.
Regards
Katherine Battersby

Hello Katherine!
ReplyDeleteYou couldn't ask for a better mentor than Kate-- a lovely person of the first stripe. I'm extremely fond of her, so please do say hi to her from me next time you speak. Hope your writing lives up to everything you want for it, and let me know how you get on: we Battersbys need to stick together!
Thanks Lee! Kate has been an absolute delight to work with - I will pass on your hello. Best of luck with all your writing and I'll keep in touch :)
